Geneva, 24 March 2026 – The Puma Energy Foundation released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of strong delivery, scale, and measurable results.
In the second year of the Foundation’s 2024–2028 strategy, nine partners across eight countries implemented practical, high-impact solutions focused on road safety and access to clean energy. These initiatives expanded access to essential services, strengthened public systems, and contributed to safer, more resilient communities.
2025 Impact Highlights
- 116,000 people reached – ten times more than in 2024, as the strategy came to
fruition through mature partnerships and stronger reach. - 475 solar suitcase devices installed in Malawi, supporting 34,000 safer births each
month - Continued progress on rural solar programmes in Guatemala and burn-prevention
education in Nicaragua - Bicycles for health workers in Zambia, enabling visits to 25,300 previously
inaccessible households - Expansion of road safety training in Ghana, Malawi and Zambia
- Youth in Mozambique trained in green skills, reaching nearly 2,000 people with
renewable energy awareness campaigns
Reflecting on the progress, Executive Director Dario Soto-Abril noted: “2025 was a year
defined by execution. Behind the numbers are fewer preventable accidents, functioning
energy services and livelihoods tied to real demand.” These initiatives demonstrate the
Foundation’s commitment to long-term, durable solutions in contexts where infrastructure is
weakest and needs are greatest.
